The purpose of The Snow Sports Foundation is to provide opportunities through financial support and advice to people who live with a range of additional needs and disabilities who would like to take up snow sports. We aim to remove the current barriers of access and finance to extend this opportunity to as many people as possible. The following initial criteria will be used to judge if you or someone you know may be eligible for full or partial funding:
Be male or female, with no upper or lower age limit.
Not be in a position to fully or partly fund lessons themselves (this may be subject to a non-intrusive means test).
Need additional support for daily living due to a sensory, intellectual, neurological, developmental disability or an acquired brain injury.
Not be in a position to fully or partly fund lessons themselves (this may be subject to a non-intrusive means test).
If you or someone you know would benefit from participating in a snow sports’ activity, please complete the form here for individuals and for groups/organisations please use the form here.
If, from the funding enquiry form it appears that you or someone you know meets our criteria, then a more detailed application form will be sent. This process consists of two stages, so that personal information is only provided to The Snow Sports Foundation on a ‘need to know’ basis.
If the application is successful, the initial fund will cover an assessment/taster session, followed by ten one-to-one lessons. This may be extended, subject to the availability of funds.
